Derek Draper is a Dublin born Irish/Australian Actor. He is a Graduate of APAC. Post graduation he has been involved in a number of award winning short films screening in festivals such as 'Cannes' and 'Flickerfest' In 2013 he was chosen by 'Sky TV' to be their leading man in its New Zealand campaign. In Theatre, Dereks credits include David Mamet's 'American Buffalo' a show which had a critically acclaimed run at the Brisbane powerhouse Theatre and garnished several 'Matilda nominations' along the way and Martin McDonaghs 'The Lonesome West' which played at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.- Another show which was regarded by critics as "one of the best shows all year" it also had several 'Matilda' nominations. Following the success of them he became the only Irish man in their prestigious history to be nominated for the 'Billie Brown Award for-Best Emerging artist' In 2019 Mike Bartlett's 'COCK' was one of the last plays to be staged in the famous (old) Metro Arts theatre before its closure. Described as "incredible" "Beautiful" and "gorgeous acting" by critics.
