Nicky Slimting Walker

London born filmmaker and childhood actor attended Sylvia Young Theatre School and started he journey in filmmaking in 2010. Nicky has since has co-written, co-directed and produced a sequel of feature films, including The Intent and The Intent 2, which has become its own franchise. In 2016 the feature film The Intent was released to unprecedented success opening to sold-out cinemas and landing at number 3 on the iTunes Movies Chart. After its UK release, Netflix acquired the film for the world. It was swiftly followed by the prequel in 2018, The Intent 2 which was distributed by Vertigo Releasing and opened as the number one film in major UK cities. The Intent 2 became one of the highest grossing Independent British films of the year. It was later sold to Netflix in a multi-territory deal and picked up several awards including "Best Film" at the MVISA awards as well as three awards, including "Best Action" at the National Film Awards. In 2021 Viacom/ BET UK commissioned an epic 5-part music documentary series celebrating 35 years of British Black Music. The Evolution of Black British Music was released through the major Television platform MY5. Nicky co-directed and executive-produced the show, through his company Fan Studios. In 2022, Channel 4 commissioned Raps to Riches; a part of Channel 4's UNTOLD stories, Nicky co-directed and co-produced the documentary based on musicians and their entrepreneurial success. Nicky is currently represented by one of the leading agencies in the World; WME - William Morris Endeavour.
