Kabir Bokul

Prominent lyricist of Bangladesh, Kabir Bakul was born on 21 November, 1966 in Chandpur, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). He started writing poems and songs from 1986-1987. In 1993, Kabir Bakul joined The Daily Vorer Kagoj as a journalist. In 1998, from the very beginning of The Daily Prothom Alo, he was Assistant Features Editor there until 2011. He is working in Maasranga Television as Head of Event and Planning from 2011. He wrote his first song for film in 1994 for the film "Agnee Sontan" and was nominated for the Best Lyricist in the Bangladesh Film Director Association Award. Till now, he wrote over 500 songs for more than 800 films and solo albums. He received numerous awards nationwide for his contribution in music including ''National Film Award, Bangladesh'' for 4 times.
