Born Steven Mather to Charles Truman Mather and Goldie (Pillsburry) Mather, Ryan was given up for adoption at the age of 3. Having a traumatic childhood and bounced from foster home to foster home, he was finally adopted by the Bogdewic family. He always had a fascination with entertaining people, and from a young age, he was acting in school plays with lead roles. Ryan always wanted to keep entertaining people, but didn't know how he was supposed to. So with that frustration, he lost focus of his entertainment abilities when and became more passionate about the family business, automotive sales and service. At the age of 19, Ryan started to find his passion for entertaining again as a rapper in his local neighborhood. He started cutting small records in local studios with the help of BJay Schapiro, executive producer of Redefined Entertainment in New York City. After sacrificing everything at the age of 25, Ryan lost his wife and children through divorce and child custody. Ryan started once again to focus on being business professional; forgetting the entertainment dreams he had. After many failed business ideas, including becoming a life coach (using his personal life story as the foundation), Ryan finally stumbled upon Taoism. Following his intuition of applying for an open casting call with Nancy Mosser Casting Agency, Ryan immediately was accepted on set of "The Dark Knight Rises" and began an acting career.
