Adwin Brown starred alongside Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, James Scully and Chris D'Elia in the second season of Netflix's hit psychological thriller "You." The series, which is based on the 2014 novel by Caroline Kepnes and executive produced by Greg Berlanti ("Love, Simon") and Sera Gamble ("The Magicians"), follows Joe Goldberg, an intensely obsessive young man (Badgley) who goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of the people he is transfixed by. Brown joined the series as Calvin, the manager of a high-end grocery store in Los Angeles where the second season takes place. The series debuted on Lifetime in September 2018 and was acquired by Netflix in December 2018. It instantly became one of the streaming giant's most popular additions, gaining over 40 million viewers after its debut. Season two of "You" premiered on December 26, 2019. In addition to "You," Brown starred in Paramount Network's 2018 reboot of the 1988 cult classic "Heathers," opposite Grace Victoria Cox, Brendan Scannell, and James Scully. Other recent credits for Brown include: FOX's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," ABC's "The Middle," NBC's "Will & Grace," Freeform's "The Fosters," CW's "Jane the Virgin," Nickelodeon's "Game Shakers," and Showtime's "Ray Donovan." On the film front Brown can be seen in Rebel Way Entertainment's indie comedy "Deported." As a graduate of Florida State University's School of Theatre, Brown spent four years performing with the university's premier improv troupe "Slow Children Playing" and eventually moved to Los Angeles to study at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. Brown got his start in television appearing in a handful of national brand commercials, including McDonald's, Nissan, and Pedigree. When he isn't on set, Brown enjoys eating copious amounts of sushi and practicing his photography skills. He currently resides in the Los Angeles area.
