We Jun Cho

John We Jun Cho graduated with honours from the University of Kent in Actuarial Science and had a career in finance and consumer durables, before pursuing filmmaking full-time in 2012. He is now a writer-director and production designer, having undertaken the Art Direction Course at Pinewood Studios Malaysia under Oscar-nominated production designer Tim Hutchinson (Willow, The Garden of Eden) in mid-2014. We Jun has written and directed numerous short films, several of which have been selected for official competition at film festivals in Japan, Germany, Mexico and Poland. In 2015, he had been selected to direct "Coaster", a short film presented by Tiger Beer, during which time, he was mentored by Baltasar Kormákur (Everest). "Taiping Adagio", made with a modest budget over a period spanning more than 5 years, is We Jun's debut full-length feature film.
