Born in Brockville, Ontario, to a Hungarian father and Canadian Mother, Josh was raised in a small lake town called Westport. He discovered his love of entertaining people at an early age and was quickly identified by his teachers and peers as natural in doing so. His first exposure to acting came during school plays, in which he was often cast as the lead. At the age of 10, he attended a summer theatre camp, playing "Oin" in the stage play "The Hobbit". Upon moving to Toronto, Josh quickly found work as an actor while training and developing his skills at an acting studio.
