Charlie Recksieck

Charlie Recksieck is the lead singer, keyboardist and primary songwriter for the band, The Bigfellas. Recksieck and The Bigfellas both appear in a 2011 documentary about suicide, Don't Change The Subject - the band contributes 2 songs to the soundtrack and Recksieck wrote the score for the movie. The band and Recksieck released an indie EP in 2003 (Clap!) and their first album, Chubbed Up in 2008. They also have an EP from 2009 (I Wish That I Were Gay). The band is known for humorous songs such as "On The Green" (a golf rap), "4:20", "Adam & Eve & Ted & Alice" and "I Wish That I were Gay". The Bigfellas have been described as "Steely Dan for the Pabst Blue Ribbon crowd" while Recksieck himself has been referred to in the LA Weekly as "Zevonesque".
