Mansi Jain is a writer-director who has made several successful short films like Everything is Fine, Nawab and Chhuri. She has written Dahaad (2022) and a yet-to-be-announced high profile Amazon Original for Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. Dahaad is Sonakshi Sinha's first series. Mansi's short Nawab stars Aparshakti Khurrana. It had its premiere at MAMI. Before Nawab, she wrote and directed Chhuri, a short-film starring Anurag Kashyap, Tisca Chopra and Surveen Chawla. The film had its world premiere at the 19th MAMI film festival and has over 9 million views online. Mansi's thesis short film for Columbia University called Everything is Fine won major grants and awards across the world. Both Chhuri and Everything is Fine were nominated for Jio Filmfare Awards. All three films are on Youtube. In 2015, Mansi co-wrote and associate directed a noir feature film called Moh Maya Money (In Greed We Trust) which opened across cinemas in India in 2016. In 2016, she was also selected for NFDC Screenwriting Lab where she developed her comedy-feature screenplay called Time to Go (Hai Main Mara). Earlier in 2019, she wrote a script for Neeraj Pandey. Mansi graduated from Columbia University, New York City with an MFA in Screenwriting in 2017. Before becoming a writer-director, she spent a summer studying acting and directing at Harvard University.
