Chelsea Kunz discovered acting when she decided staying home and being babied by mom due to a "tummy ache" sounded better than sitting through six long hours of grade school. Chelsea grew up in Las Vegas, NV in an oversized family of eight sisters and one brother. She best describes this experience as being raised in the movie "Bridesmaids"... A whole lot of estrogen and always loud/inappropriate conversations at the dinner table between all the "ladies". When she was 12 years old, her parents moved her and her two older sister to Costa Rica. This was life changing for Chelsea and made her realize what it is to "live outside of your comfort zone" and how much growth comes from it. "Living outside of your comfort zone" would end up being her life's motto and cause her to travel to foreign places, take on random jobs, jump off of an airplane, participate in extreme sports, hold an executive position at the age of 21, and pursue a crazy career called "acting"! Chelsea attended UNLV and majored in Theatre Performance, graduating with a BA at the age of 20. After college, it was time to pay off the ol' school loan and save up to pursue her dream as an actress in Los Angeles.... so to stay with her life's theme, she decide to become a Wildland Firefighter for the summer! After being the only female on a 22 man crew, not bathing for weeks at a time, and introducing her fellow firefighters to magazines such as Cosmopolitan and US Weekly, she took her hard earned money and made the big leap! After almost two years of acting in L.A, she moved back to Las Vegas to help her mom through chemo. This was a huge growing experience for her and made her more driven than ever. It was a confirmation that acting is indeed her true passion and calling. After about six months of being home, she met the love of her life Matt Kunz (an audio engineer). Shortly after, they were married and made the move back to sunny Los Angeles. Chelsea has a true passion for comedy and improvisation. You can catch her writing and performing sketch comedy in Hollywood. You can also find her playing her guitar while she sings song parodies that she's written, writing and recording music with her husband, and most importantly "living outside of her comfort zone".
