Johanne Morissette D. Amon (born June 2, 1996), better known by her stage name, Morissette Amon, is a Filipina actress and artist. Born and raised in Cebu, Moriessette, her mother and her brother moved and lived in Manila for three years now to get closer to opportunities and in order to pursue her dream. At 16, she is currently the family breadwinner being able to pay for the rent, the bills and sending her brother to school. Though she had been away from school, the young Cebuana do not regret taking a bullet for the family. Other than actively pursuing her dream of becoming a great singer by auditioning to various shows. Amon first rose to prominence when she finished runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14. On October 1, 2013, Amon confirmed her departure from TV5 and that Kapitan Awesome would mark her last project with the network. In 2012, Amon made her Broadway debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock. She recently competed on the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines, where became part of singer Sarah Geronimo's team. More than the similar looks, Morissette and her coach Sarah G. have more in common than the eyes can see. Both coach and artist discovered her talents at an early age. Both competed in various singing competitions, in fact, Morissette once faced the young Sarah G. in another televised competition. During the Blind Auditions, Amon impressed Geronimo with her rendition of the song "Love on Top" and became part of her team. She eventually advanced to the first live shows, where she received the highest percentage of votes of the night with 57.16% for her rendition "Jar of Hearts". For the third live show, Amon went head to head with former South Border member Maki Ricafort. Geronimo picked Amon over Ricafort and her score was added to the public votes, giving Amon a total of 110.41 points. Morissette also won in the public vote, garnering 50.41%, allowing her to advance to the next round of the competition. During the semi-finals, she eventually lost out to Klarisse De Guzman who went on to represent Team Sarah at the grand-finals and finish runner-up behind eventual winner Mitoy Yonting. Starting from January 5, 2014, Amon began making recurring appearances on ABS-CBN's ASAP. She went on to record the theme song for the drama series Moon of Desire. The self-titled original song was composed by Trina Bellamide.
