He excelled in school earning high honors in academics throughout his childhood and through college. He got into acting through sheer luck and determination. Michael has a sister who had been working all of the time modeling for different brands and clothing lines. So one day Michael went with his sister to her agency and one of the agents ask Michael to read a few lines and he ended up not only getting an agent, but booked the first commercial audition he ever went on. He attended High School at Capistrano Valley Christian School and earned high honors in both Basketball and Theater. He appeared in numerous plays and musicals, even earning himself a Macy Award in 2006 for his performance in "Carousel". Michael graduated High School in 2006. He attended college at Concordia University with a Major in Business Administration and also studied Theater. Although he continued to audition and work small roles in Hollywood, he chose to really learn the art of acting so he would be ready once college was finished, since he knew he would be moving up the coast to Hollywood. Michael graduated college in 2010. With that chapter closed and lessons learned, Los Angeles seemed to be the only place that seemed like home. Michael's grandfather, Stuart Thomson, some might say Michael's second father, instilled in him the mentality that in order to do the job that you want to do, you need to put in the work. Michael worked odd jobs and started to audition for films. Michael D. Reynolds has a true respect for art and he continues to study his craft.
