His career in filming started with the creation of animated features. In 2005, he co-produced the 7-episode TV series The Traveled Mouse Working together with Kecskemétfilm, he co-produced the last 11 episodes of Hungarian Folktales in 2010. He was also involved in the production of the pre-premier The Funeral of the Joyful Armenian and The Sky-High Tree. His work abroad includes 8 episodes of World Without End - he was the co-producer for the episodes popular in the US as well. He acted as an executive producer for Open Grave, an American thriller, which has been shown in theaters in 2014. Docler Entertainment, one of Mr. Gattyán's companies, makes 2-3 films annually in Hungary and the US. His most recent work as a producer was on the movie Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. Mr. Gattyán also participated to several film festivals as curator or jury member. He contributed to the Golden Eye Festival for Cinematographers and the Hungarian Film Festival of Los Angeles. György Gattyán became the financing member of the Hungarian Film Academy. In addition to his career in films, he's a dedicated supporter of sports, culture, and science.
