Jake Hodge

Jake was born in Somerset (United Kingdom) on 3rd April 1994 to Karen Lock and Darren Hodge. Jake first dived in to the photography industry at the young age of 14, it was not until he went to college at 16 years old he made his first step in to the film & television side of the media industry. Jake went to Bridgwater College to study a Btec National Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production (TV & Film), it was whilst at college he discovered a passion for camera operation and quickly made the move from still image to moving image. Whilst studying at Bridgwater College, Jake gained work on a feature film as a runner as well as launching his own production company in Feb 2012 with a close media friend, Jessie Hawkes. The company, J H Productions Film & Media Ltd went on to make various music videos, corporate films & short films. In Feb 2013 Jake decided to leave J H Productions Film & Media Ltd to go freelance as a runner, he quickly gained a stewarding opportunity for BBC Flog It, whilst filming a show in Yeovil, Somerset. In June 2013 Jake accepted an opportunity to be a radio presenter for a station in Bridgwater, Access FM. Jake achieved a high 2:1 FdA Foundation Degree in Media Practice in September 2014. Jake now presents all of his work under 'Jake Hodge Film' and all collaboration work with Jessie Hawkes under 'Agate Creative Film', he is currently a freelance camera operator, camera assistant & voice over artist. Jake recently worked for the X Factor 2014's boy band 'Overload Generation'.
