On the afternoon of April first, two weeks late Andrew Philip Marsden was welcomed into this world by his parents, Lynne M. & Timothy A. Marsden, and one sarcastic doctor who could not let the time honored tradition of April Fools Day pass him by. His sister Allie was born three years later. In the northern part of Worcester, Ma. known as Greendale, Andrew grew up close to his family and the various neighborhood kids. He soon realized his affinity for entertaining others through various means i.e. magic tricks, tall tales, reenacting scenes from his favorite movies and television shows, and playing the occasional prank. He was also an avid dancer through a local dance studio where he learned what it truly meant to be an entertainer. Andrew was a student of the Worcester Public school system attending Greendale & Nelson Place Elementary schools, Forest Grove Middle School, and Burncoat Senior High. At Forest Grove is where he found and expanded his talents as a stagehand after not getting past the auditions for their musicals because honestly he can't carry a tune. Around the same time he volunteered to operate the lights, and later the sound system for Greendale People's Church's annual Christmas pageant; But all that changed that day he received his first camera. The four years at Burncoat High was a long and stressful time for Andrew as it is for most teenagers, but he used the myriad of emotions that come with the hormonal imbalance as a conduit to expand his experience into the medium of writing. Starting small and making his way up. from poetry, to short stories, and finally scripts (many lost to time), along with his camera he made his transition into film. In 2008 Andrew was in search of higher education, but without a compass he set to the Internet to find his bearings. There he found the site belonging to The Center for Digital Imaging Arts @ Boston University. In their part time Digital Filmmaking course he learned the ins and outs of filmmaking, from editing, to directing, to sound mixing, and the most important class, extension cord wrangling. The following few years he retreated from film life after the discouragement from peers and the often used "You won't go anywhere in life with (insert art medium here)." Going from failed job to failed job Andrew just simply existed, keeping his head above the water, until December 24th 2014 when his grandfather and moral compass Rev. Ralph E. Marsden past away. On that day he vowed to change his life around by following his heart and doing what gave him a sense of accomplishment, the only problem was he misplaced his passion. On a cold day in January or February he got a message from an old friend from CDIA, Evan Schneider, who himself went through his own journey of transformation since their last encounter in 2011. Evan, offering crew spots on the set of Academy (2016) as a grip then soon to Script Supervisor. Since that anxiety filled day in May of 2015 he hasn't looked back.
