John Conway

John Conway was born John Thomas Smith and raised in Mariposa, California. While growing up in a rustic mountain town ailed with allergies, and being too small to make the basketball team, Conway's interest for acting began when he was forced into a school play in 8th grade. He took advantage of the one line given to him and carried that enthusiasm into high school where his involvement in theatre offered guidance in his coming of age years. In college, Conway sought out an improv club, became involved in theatre programs, and accounts his roles in "Marat/Sade" and "Speed the Plow" as the works that inspired him to pursue acting professionally. After graduating with his BA, he continued training in Los Angeles and attributes his professional standards being shaped most from his time training at Steppenwolf West. John Conway's unassuming look and style has garnered him a reputation as a dependable character actor.
