As an independent, Carol has worked with a wide variety of companies in many different industries, including law, health, banking, software, telecommunications and retail, and with several non-profit and religious organizations. As a producer, and sometimes writer, she has created numerous training and marketing programs, as well as live satellite broadcasts, for a diverse client base, including: Constellation Energy, Verizon, Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, BG&E, Georgia Special Olympics, The Metro Atlanta Crime Commission, and several churches and denominational bodies. Carol has also been hired by full-service production houses such as Crawford Productions, Spicer Communications and BlueRock Productions for various projects. As a freelance producer, Carol builds on over 25 years of "hands-on" video production experience and brings strong production management skills to her work. She has experience with a wide range of production situations, from small, field production crews to large, multi-camera studio productions; from scripted, shot and edited programs, to "live via satellite" broadcasts. As a writer, Carol most often uses her well-honed interviewing and editing skills to craft effective scripts from other people's words. Carol's interest and work in corporate television led her to active involvement in the International Television Association (ITVA, now MCA-I), the premiere organization for professional visual communicators. Carol served as both president of the Atlanta Chapter and as chair of its Board of Directors. She has won both Gold and Silver awards at the ITVA Georgia Vidfest, including the Gold award for a day-long satellite workshop for teachers on "Electricity and Global Climate Change", produced for The Southern Company and the Center for Energy and Economic Development. This program was viewed at over 40 sites across the U.S. and Canada. In addition to her years of corporate experience, Carol has worked on broadcast productions for both Atlanta public television stations and WBFF-Fox 45 in Baltimore. Combining her training in dance and video, Carol produced, directed, wrote and edited three documentaries about Atlanta choreographers for WPBA (PBS). These documentaries aired on both PBS and cable. In Maryland Carol has expanded into low-budget independent feature film work and has earned both production manager and associate producer credits. Carol brings experience from both sides of the camera. She started as a professional actress and dancer, and was a member of AFTRA/SAG. Carol acted in commercial and corporate productions in the Chicago, St. Louis and Atlanta markets. She has drawn on that varied background to teach "Preproduction" and "Acting for the Camera" at American Inter-Continental University in Atlanta, and "Broadcast Performance", "Corporate Video" and "Media Producer" as an adjunct professor at Towson University. Carol received a Masters in Communications from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Speech Education/Theatre from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
