Ven Daniel

Born in Miami Beach, Florida and raised in Plantation, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale, Ven Daniel was introduced to musicals at an early age by his father, an accountant, former Arthur Murray dance instructor, and local actor in the South Florida theater scene. Playing competitive soccer and being actively involved in community service and leadership organization kept Ven busy throughout his high school years until graduating with honors. He received a full scholarship to New World School of the Arts Conservatory in Miami studying acting, voice, and dance before moving to New York City. Having booked his first audition in New York City, Ven began rehearsals as the Eugene understudy in the European tour of Grease. Upon returning to the U.S. he was offered a position in the national touring company of the broadway show Swing. Performing throughout the United States for one year, the tour came to a close after a sold out 5-week tour through Japan. Following Swing, Ven landed the role of Double J and understudy to the lead role, Tony Manero, in the national tour of Saturday Night Fever. Many regional productions around the country followed until he signed his first broadway contract in Disney's Tarzan. In 2009, Ven was cast in the independent film Louis (choreographed by 3-time Tony Winner Hinton Battle), while already being in the middle of the audition process for Legally Blonde the Musical, directed and choreographed by Tony Winner Jerry Mitchell. Initially cast to originate the coveted role of Kyle B. O'Boyle, (the UPS Guy) on the first national tour, he was asked to assume the role on broadway for a 6 week run before taking the show on the road where he received rave reviews coast to coast. Soon after Legally Blonde the Musical, Ven was cast in the award winning web series, Thank You...Next, showcasing one of his many original characters named Bastian. Soon after his appearance on the series, he originated the role of Max Kellerman in the world premiere of Cutman: A Boxing Musical at Goodspeed's Norma Teris Theater, followed by a run as Benny Southstreet in Theater Under the Stars' production of Guys and Dolls. Ven was recently seen as one of the leads in 2 short films, Call Me Sometime by writer/director Andy Halliday, and Losses and Gains by Ricardo Perez Gonzales, and continues to expand his career after directing 2 web commercials for Sabra Hummus.
