Isabel Dresden was born the third of four children, in Tustin California, to parents Ed and Janeen of Corona, California. She had her first taste of the stage at the tender age of 5, when she played Santa Lucia in a grammar school play. She took not setting the stage on fire with her crown of burning candles, as a green light to move forward. She went on to perform in several plays and lead her high school theater group. A student of classic film, she considered them her greatest teachers, often watching them for hours to study the dramatic genius of Bette Davis or the brilliant timing of Katherine Hepburn. Even going so far as to call out sick from school, in order to further her "character studies". Isabel's time as a model led her to New York where she was a finalist for the face of Cover Girl cosmetics & YM magazine. While there, she learned uncomfortable truths about the fashion industry, which inspired her to become a vocal advocate to push for more sustainable practices within the industry. She has costumed plays and independent films, and styled music videos and fashion shoots from within the circular fashion economy. A proponent of having her thumb in many pies, she is happiest when simultaneously collaborating on multiple projects, whether they be in film, fashion, music or design. Her dedication to the art of storytelling has led her down many paths, both in front of and behind the camera, and her fondness for the odd jobs that build character has created a wealth of experience from which to draw. Her favorite stories uncover a heroes hidden depths, resilience, and strength of spirit; reminding us of the beauty that is our humanity.
