Michael Stogner comes from a fine art background, having received his BFA from The Corcoran in Washington, D.C. Michael also served in the United States Navy, and eventually settled in Norfolk, Virginia where he decided to become a filmmaker. Starting in 2007, he began producing and directing short films, the pinnacle of which was Life on Mars, which won the Audience Favorite award at the Veneration Film Festival. Inspired by his early successes, Michael decided to study directing and film production in the MFA program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After devoting three years to his studies, Michael moved to Los Angeles where he continued his role as lead producer with Mick the Red Films.
