Born in a small northern town Terrace, B.C. Kam grew up in the Okanagan and is of mixed Asian descent (mother) and Austrian/German/Polish (father)background. An accomplished tennis player, it wasn't until he moved to Vancouver that he followed his heart to pursue acting. After a successful career in real estate Kam worked with inner city street youth managing a youth center downtown reaching out to youth in crisis before launching into film and television roles in 2010. Kam has appeared in well acclaimed shows such as The Killing, Arctic Air, Once Upon a Time and you can look for him in upcoming 2016 release of Deadpool and My Mom Robs Banks. Kam was also nominated for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and is also a notable musician.
