Chandu Yarram was born in Chirala, Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He started his career as a software engineer in Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. He migrated to the USA to pursue better opportunities. As a movie buff, who watches both American and Indian films regularly, he made three short films before he jumped into features. His first feature film, "The Distance Between Us" (2014), which he wrote, produced, and directed, won Best Feature Film at The World Indie Film Festival (TWIFF) and was selected by The Greater Washington Immigration Film Festival (GWIFF). Award-winning actors, Rahul Rai and Leah Kavita played lead roles in the film. His second feature film, Uncommitted has completed in April 2015 and won two best narrative feature film awards by TWIFF and TOFF. This film was also officially selected by Los Angels Cine Fest, Festival of colors, Blow up Chicago International Art house film festival. This film is available in premium digital channels, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video and Google Play. He lives in Newark, DE, USA.
