Anne-Christine Caro is a French actress, writer, director and singer. She lives between Paris and Los Angeles. She speaks fluently English, French and Spanish. Anne-Christine fell in love with acting when she was five: her mother, a literature and drama teacher, took her to a rehearsal of the Offenbach Operetta she was directing, and for the first time Anne-Christine remained quiet for hours, transfixed. However, before pursuing her dream, Anne-Christine followed the classical path of French academic excellence. She first studied literature at the prestigious Lycée Louis-Le-Grand in Paris, and was then admitted in the top rated business school ESSEC-MBA. She continued her acting training at the same time with her first mentor, Béatrice Brout, a notable member of Peter Brook's International Centre for Theatre Research. Anne-Christine then quickly started to work as an actress on various plays and short movies, and she received critical success and an award for her role of Aglae in The Fear of Hits by Georges Courteline. The same year, she conceived the TV show In Shape and hosted it on the newborn channel Paris Cap: she would test new original sports each week, from wrestling to pole dancing to entertaining comic effect. Anne-Christine then moved to Madrid where she studied acting in Spanish with Dany Diez for a year and wrote her first bilingual screenplay in French and Spanish. In 2009, she was chosen to play the lead part in the feature horror film VIDEO, directed by Nicolas Keitel. In 2010 director Jean-Louis Guillermou asked her to write the screenplay of his historical feature, Celles qui aimaient Richard Wagner (2011). She subsequently played the lead, starring opposite the world famous opera singer Roberto Alagna, and other renowned French actors such as Jean-François Balmer and Stéphane Bern. Once in LA, Anne-Christine discovered the Method at the Lee Strasberg Institute, which gave a new depth to her work. She then started working on various Independent Films. Anne-Christine also sings and has been playing the piano since age five. She did numerous jazz concerts in Paris, and also performed for years at the Saint-Ouen flea market, in the mythical and magical restaurant Chez Louisette. In 2012, Anne-Christine wrote, directed and starred in her first short movie, Merci beaucoup Bradley Cooper (2013). The film has been selected in five International Film Festivals including Sonoma, Newport Beach, and Cannes.
