Georg Anton was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, but his professional acting career was largely shaped during his time in China between 2007 and 2012. As the first in his family to pursue a life in film or theater, Georg started to produce, direct and act in short films among friends at age twelve. He continued to work around film and TV sets and developed his own projects with the focus on filmmaking and directing, but eventually studied international business in Vienna. He also spent half a year studying at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed the mandatory military service in Austria. After receiving his business degree in 2007, Georg moved to the city of Tianjin, China, for an internship in an import-export company. He then came to neighboring Beijing, where he joined the theater groups Beijing Improv and Beijing Actors Workshop, which both grew to immense popularity and became important hubs for the China-foreign artistic scene. Successes on the community stage lead to Georg's first appearance on a Chinese TV series in 2008 and then turned into a veritable acting career with lead roles in TV series and feature films and theater performances at China's prestigious national theater, the NCPA. Between 2010 and 2012, Georg landed guest-star, principal and lead roles in six TV series, three made-for-TV feature films and six big-screen movies. He worked with Chinese superstars such as the actor Kun Chen in Hsue-shen Tsien (2012) or the director Peter Ho-Sun Chan in American Dreams in China (2013). Georg is now based in Los Angeles, California.
