Mark Henry Phillips

Mark Henry Phillips is a composer, sound designer and re-recording mixer living in Brooklyn, NY. Phillips has been the sound designer on such films as Oscar-nominated Cutie and the Boxer (2013), Ballet 422 (TriBeCa Film Festival 2014), Teenage (TriBeCa Film Festival 2012), and A Teacher (Sundance Film Festival 2013). Phillips wrote the original score for Season 1 of the hit-podcast Serial and has also scored many films and commercials. Before his work in film and television, Phillips spent 7 years as a public radio producer reporting his own pieces for shows like Radiolab, All Things Considered, On the Media and Studio 360. Phillips also spent years as a touring musician with many projects, including his own group Sono Oto.
