Before coming to Los Angeles to pursue her MFA degree in 2008, Meng (Sophia) Pan published novels and wrote movie columns for a number of major magazines in China. Sophia graduated from Chapman University as the first Chinese writer in the screenwriting program. She writes bilingually for both Chinese and US productions. Deeply rooted in Chinese culture, Sophia also has a strong grasp of US Hollywood storytelling structure. Meng (Sophia) Pan is also a MPAA accredited journalist and the Chief Creative Officer of Enmaze Pictures, a bi-coastal film production company, whose recent production projects include Mojin: The Lost Legend, Detective Chinatown and The Negotiator.
