Romany Saad

Romany Saad is an Egyptian film director and producer. Romany was born in Cairo, Egypt on September 28, 1974, and was raised in its El-Abassia suburb. Romany studied arts in the Faculty of Applied Arts in Cairo, then moved to study Filmmaking at the French University in Cairo. Romany start his career working in advertising field then turned to filmmaking, his films screened in the international festivals over the world and got many prizes. Romany has been making short films since 2010. His films have screened internationally and won several awards at festivals. These include the Busan International Short Film Festival in South Korea (2012) and the Alexandria International Film Festival in Egypt (2011) among many others. In 2015 Romany released his first feature documentary "TUK-TUK" World Premiere was in international competition in Hot Docs, Toronto, Canadian international documentary film festival (2015), and European Premiere was in Warsaw International Film Festival, Poland, (2015) then screened over the world. In 2017 Romany make his first feature fiction film "No Trespassing or Cameras Allowed". It screened commercially in Arab World.
