Reb was born in San Diego, California. However he spent most of his early life til the age of ten in Okinawa, Japan. His father Richard Allen was a 1st SGT in the Marine Corp and had been stationed there. At 11 years old his family retired in Hawaii and that is where he spent the rest of his formative years. Reb dreamed of becoming a comic book artist and discovered acting as many do by sheer coincident. While outside of a math class in college the schools Drama Professor asked him if he was an actor. Reb said yes (even though he wasn't) He was invited to his first audition based off of his looks and charm...The production was "The Rocky Horror Picture Show. " He did not get cast but fell in love with the concept of playing a character. Immediately after that failed audition, Reb joined an acting class. He had to drop out of the acting class after only a month because he landed his first professional acting job as a full time company member of the Honolulu Theatre for Youth, which he stayed at for 7 seasons.Since then he has worked Professionally in TV. & Film and other Theatre companies. He has performed on numerous stages through out Hawaii, Seattle and New York. He has been the recipient of several Po'okela awards for Acting, Directing and Set design. Reb is a hard working individual who believes doing something is worth doing it right. He still has a Passion for Art along with Acting and is an avid Painter these days. He mainly is known for urban Pop Art design. His attention to detail, growing up drawing, has carried over into his approach of building characters for screen and stage. (A painting is comprised of over a thousand tiny details.) He believes this translates to acting also.
