Nicolas Berggruen

Nicolas Berggruen is a philanthropist, philosopher, and thought leader recognized for his works to address global issues. He is the founder and president of Berggruen Holdings and co-founder and chairman of the non-profit think tank, Berggruen Institute. Born in Paris, France, Nicolas grew up drawn to political governance and intellectual matters at a young age. He attended elementary school in France before moving to Switzerland for high school and onto New York to obtain his bachelor's degree from New York University. Nicolas is the author of two books: Intelligent Governance for the 21st Century: A Middle Way Between West, and East and Renovating Democracy: Governing in the Age of Globalization and Digital Capitalism.
