Hannah Edith White was born in Croydon, Surrey in 1987. She is the daughter of Janet White (Teacher). She grew up in South Yorkshire where her love of acting and singing began at the age of seven when her mother was in an amateur production of 'Charlie Girl'. At secondary school Hannah participated in school productions including 'The Wiz' (Chorus), 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (Angel), 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (Courtier) and 'My Fair Lady' (Lady Boxington). In the year before University Hannah appeared in amateur productions of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe' (Leopard) at the civic Theatre in Doncaster and 'Death of A Salesman' (Letta) at The Doncaster Little Theatre. During University Hannah performed the song 'Fever' by Peggy Lee in a University Talent show at the on-campus nightclub LRV. Hannah has a certificate of higher education in creative writing from Staffordshire university. In June 2014, Hannah changed her name by Deed Poll from Hannah Edith White to Hannah Edith Evans.
