A Virginia native, Chance Gibson first became involved in filmmaking during his senior year of high school when he was assigned with creating a short film about speed and velocity. The experience left him hungry for more and sparked an interest in him that would further be fanned that year by his English teacher, Stuart Chapin, with accounts of the filming his own low-budget Horror/Comedy feature - Deadlock (1997). After graduating, Chance continued to pursue film earning a BFA in Film & Visual Studies as well as directing several shorts. Eventually wanting to dive deeper, he expanded further by making the leap to onscreen in late 2011 when Steven Spielberg's Lincoln arrived in Richmond for principle photography. Since then, he has continued to act being fortunate enough to have had the opportunity of studying under Stacey Keach, Donna McKenna, and Aaron Jackson. He is best known for his work on Loving (2016), Killing Lincoln (2013) and Legends & Lies (2015).
