Junie George Maddox III

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Junie G. Maddox, the 3rd (Third generation Maddox) is an actor, musician, poet, cook, acting teacher and assistant director. Throughout his childhood, his family enjoyed travel and lived Southside ala Country Club Hills, IL / Homewood, IL to Palmdale, CA / and finally residing in Spring Valley, NV. He studied various fields including computer design, music, theatre and brake repair at Antelope Valley College, UNLV and CSN. In his adult life, he went on a missionary trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras calling it one of the most educational experiences so far. He has also trained in Karate, Taekwondo and Wushu/Quanfa known generally as Chinese Kung-Fu. In Hip-Hop mediums, he goes by his stage name, Mr. JGM3. He often performed in talent shows in high school and later went on to perform live improv at AuditionMachine, Casting Call Entertainment and FlikerTheatre in Nevada. He has acted in several short films including a Shakespearean adaptation of the Tragedy of Othello, playing the titular character in My Dinner with Othello. This time, Othello is a restaurant owner being led to believe his wife is unfaithful by his manipulative assistant, Iago. Although an abstract film, it concentrates on Mr. Maddox's intensely performed prose. His favorite performances include but not limited to the aforementioned Othello, If at First You Don't Succeed as delusional predator Gibbons, Mr. White and His Irresponsible Twin Adult in Three Little Blinds and Music of the Silents' Galvin aka "Techie." Additionally, he has worked as a camera operator on the short films, Let's Talk, All Eyes on Charlie, Weekend Wingman, and feature Music of the Silents. In 2015, he became an acting teacher instructing a Self-Discovery class where he helped students open up about their feelings and past experiences in order for the student to be more in-touch with their scripts. He often used song lyrics and poetry from noted artists as sides, so the students had some familiarity with the material while still being able to add their own emotional beatwork; applying their own personal meaning to the words. He continues to write songs while functioning as a conceptualist at FlikerTheatre.
