Alexander Cirillo

Alexander Cirillo (Alex) is a Camera Operator, Camera Assistant, and Certified Drone Pilot from Hoffman Estates, IL. Alexander holds a Bachelor's in Media Communication from Northern Illinois University. While studying Alex made several contributions to the Communication Department, providing heavy final edits for a video that was used on the Department of Communication Undergraduate website. Alexander also gave a lecturer presentation to a district of educators on the use of video editing software. After graduating from Northern Illinois University, Alex began working as a Production Assistant on large scale films in Chicago including; Divergent, Jupiter Ascending, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. After a few years of Production Assistant work, Alex focused his interest in the Art and Camera Department. After working on the pilot of APB in the art department in 2016 Alex joined IATSE Local 600 as a Digital Utility, and began working in the camera department for shows like APB, Empire, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Justice and more. In the following years, Alex took opportunities to work as a 1st Assistant Camera and Camera Operator on various sized commercials, corporate work, documentaries, and reality TV shows. Alex has been credited on TV and Film productions ranging nearly every major network. In coming years Alex hopes to begin working as a Steadicam Operator, and continue improving skills as a Drone Pilot and Camera Operator.
