Ken van Mierlo

Ken is a director with a passion for film that started at an early age. Back in grade school, he was already experimenting with his dad's video 8 camera, and he made his first short films in high school. After media studies in the Netherlands and at the University of Lincoln (UK), he ended up in Los Angeles after winning a spec commercial competition for Chevrolet. There, he followed several master classes from industry professionals. Back in the Netherlands, Ken has been active as a freelance director for corporate films and commercials since 2015. He has also been writing and directing his own (short) films, of which 'Hare Hunt' is his fifth. From his previous films, 'Night Shift' (2016) was selected for the 2017 Dutch Film Festival in the category short film, and 'Hardt' received the audience award in the 48 Hour Film Project at the 2018 Dutch Film Festival.
