Born and raised in the home of the world's largest naval station, Virginia native Joyce Sherrí stepped off a Greyhound bus at New York City's Port Authority terminal on August 23, 2010, jobless and without concrete living arrangements. Armed with her passion for creative writing, Joyce hurled herself into the independent film capital of the world in pursuit of a career as a writer and director. A year after her exodus to the Empire State she was accepted into the Graduate Film program at New York University. Joyce several projects in various stages of development including Sherman a comedy web series and her first feature film.
