Irene Adepoju

Irene Olufunke Adepoju is a Nigerian-born actress and filmmaker who has appeared on stage in New York and Los Angeles and Washington D.C. Her on-stage credits include Happy Hour, Love, Sex and Premature Evacuation and. As a child of deaf, Nigerian immigrants she has used her ASL skills in productions such as Sign-Arella and Deaf Kill (sorry!). Some of the advertising campaigns Irene has starred in includes national commercials for Turbo Tax, Optimum, Burlington, Wells Fargo, Western Union, and Suburu. Film and Television credits include Dateline NBC, The Pan African Film Festival and the upcoming Sins of the Father (2020). Irene holds a Bachelors Degree in Dance and Theater and an MBA from the University of Maryland. She is fluent in English, Yoruba and American Sign Language. An Improv enthusiast Irene is developing several projects for the Nigerian and Deaf communities.
