Britt Michaelian wrote her first feature screenplay at the age of 16, at which time she promptly lost it (before the days of laptops and flash drives) and took it as a sign to study acting at the University of Southern California. She appeared in a handful of music videos, commercials and independent films before discovering a love of fashion, costume design and painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon graduation, Britt moved to San Francisco and attended Notre Dame de Namur University to earn a double Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy. In 2006, after working in the pediatric unit of a San Francisco hospital, she wrote, directed and produced Care for Kids: The Essential Guide to Preparing Caregivers, an award winning instructional DVD for emergency preparedness. In 2008, Britt began podcasting, blogging and producing social media events for mom entrepreneurs. She appeared on local and national talk shows as a parenting and lifestyle expert and her book Secrets of the Safety Goddess: A Modern Safety Guide for Busy Parents became a bestseller. By 2012, Britt was working with 20th Television and CBS to coordinate social media communities and brand influencer programs. Her large body of social connections attracted the attention of casting directors from Bravo, E! and Lifetime to assist in the recruiting process. In 2015, Britt launched one of the top podcasts on social media amplification, the Mass Amplify Show, interviewing guests like Pierce Brown, Mauricio Umansky, Jen Groover, Guy Kawasaki and Carlie Butler. Within days, the show reached the iTunes New and Noteworthy and What's Hot lists. Combined with her entertainment industry consulting work and her discussions with writers, business leaders and entrepreneurs on Mass Amplify, Britt returned to the world of writing and directing. She hopes to be in development to direct her first feature film in 2016 and is shopping several screenplays with production companies in Los Angeles.
