Jeffrey began his career as an actor in New York City. He made his mark on the downtown theater scene starring in "Macbeth," "Miss Julie," and "Hamlet" at the critically acclaimed theater company Expanded Arts. Off-Broadway he starred in "The Confidence Man" at Here Arts Center, "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Harlem Arts Center, "The Pavilion" directed by Michael Kostroff ("The Wire," "The Black List"), and Ken Greller's play "Troll" at The Secret Theater. "Much Ado" was featured in the Daily News as "Top Theater Pick of the Week" in February 2013, and both "The Pavilion" and "Troll" received rave reviews from Volume One Brooklyn, Theater Is Easy, and many other media outlets. Film credits include "The Imposters" by Stanley Tucci and "Puccini for Beginners" by Maria Maggenti. Recently Jeffrey has turned to screenwriting and directing. He penned a short film titled "Three Sonnets." It was nominated for Best Screenplay at the Reno International Film Festival and won Best Screenplay at the Oregon Short Film Festival. Jeffrey directed the screenplay. It won the "Princeton Tiger Award" at the Nassau Film Festival in Princeton, New Jersey. It was an official selection at The Soho International Film Festival in New York City, The Monmouth Film Festival in Red Bank NJ, and the VOB film festival in Brewster, New York. "Three Sonnets" is available online at Vimeo, cable TV at Shorts HD, and streaming via Amazon Prime. The film has played on five continents. Jeffrey is in post-production for a documentary about his family's experiences with the Coronavirus epidemic. He is also nearing completion on his first children's book titled "The Mooseduck."
