DONIZETI MAZONAS is an actor, dancer, director and cultural producer. With a Theater degree from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), he has been working as an actor in the São Paulo area since 1995. He was part of the Theater Research Center (CPT), under Antunes Filho, between 1998 and 2002, and then went on to found 'Companhia da Mentira', a theater troupe, working both as actor and director. In 2018, alongside actor Gilda Nomacce, he founded a new production company, Tatau Filmes, which produced the film Os Sentimentos Vastos Não Têm Nome, which they also starred in. On the big screen, he played the lead in the feature Otávio e as Letras, directed by Marcelo Mazagão, as well as smaller roles in movies such as A Busca, by Luciano Moura, Meu País, by André Ristum, Malasartes e O Duelo com a Morte, by Pedro Morelli, among others. He was part of shows like Onisciente, Netflix's Girls from Ipanema and TV Brasil's Colônia. On stage, his main credits include a revival of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Rafael Gomes; Hilda Hilst's OSMO, directed by Suzan Damasceno; Pais e Filhos, adapted and directed by russian director Adolfo Shapiro. with the Mundana Theater Company; Menos Emergências, by Martim Crimp, with direction by Juliana Galdino, for the 16th Cultura Inglesa Festival; Music-Hall, by Jean-Luc-Lagarce, directed by Luiz Paetow; Soslaio, by Patricia Gontijo, directed by Donizeti himself alongside Gabriela Flores, for Companhia da Mentira; O Que Você Foi Quando Era Criança? by Lourenço Mutarelli, also directed by Donizeti and Gabriela Flores, Prêt-à-Porter 3, Scene: Bom Dia, with text and performances by Juliana Galdino and Donizeti Mazonas, and Prêt-à-Porter 4, Scene: Os Esbugalhados Olhos de Deus, with text and performances by Juliana Damasceno and Donizeti Mazonas, both under the coordination of Antunes Filho.
