Mithran Maharajan

Born in India and moved to Canada, Mithran Maharajan is a film director, screenwriter and producer known for making movies with cross cultural backdrops across multiple genre. Mithran Maharajan started his creative work during his school years writing and acting in theatre. Later on he learned art of digital film making in Canada and learned 16 mm based film making in USA. Mithran started of his career by joining the editing team as one of the first editors in India to work on RED for Achamundu Achamundu, a Tamil thriller directed by acclaimed film maker Arun Vaidiyanathan. Later on Mithran wrote, produced and directed a series of short films which were part of infamous Tamil TV show Nalaya Iyakunar from India. Through the show he was awarded best director, best film and best special effects award by renowned film makers like Writer/Director K.Bagyaraj, Director Sundar.C , Director Vikraman. Later on Mithran wrote produced and directed Figment (2015) from Canada which won him best film award and was screened at film festivals across the globe. Mithran joined the editing team of Sabash Naidu (2016) to work with Veteran writer , director , producer Padmashree Kamalhasan. Mithran has founded a Canadian based movie company Infinite Kathas and continues to write , direct and produce new media and pan media contents
