Jordan M. Lacroix

Jordan M. Lacroix was born in the small city of Sarnia, Ontario. At a young age he was drawn to the arts. He would draw, learn guitar, write music, make films and even dabble in animation. His earliest memory of animation was making interacting stick figure characters on Microsoft PowerPoint. Jordan's parents use to rent a video camera every summer and he took this as an opportunity to make short films with his sisters. Along with this he learned how to make stop motion videos using his massive Lego collection because what kind of kid didn't have Lego in the 90s. When high school came around Jordan became more interested in music. He composed many orchestrated songs with his Guitar Pro 4 program which surprisingly had many different instrument options. Jordan also continued playing guitar, learning his favourite Led Zeppelin tunes, as well as playing in the school's guitar ensemble and jazz band as a bass player.Near the end of high school Jordan spent more time on writing and film. Although Jordan did have the chance to make a cartoon for his communications technology class using Flash he still had more passion for film so after he graduated he bought himself a camera and filmed many sketch comedy shorts with his best friends. Jordan would also act in these shorts which eventually gained interest in wanting to become a better actor. When the time came to decide on a college to go to Jordan went with Acting for Film and Television at Niagara College Canada. This is where he met amazing artists in which he still works with today. This is when Jordan created his second production company called Guilt Trip Productions. Here he lent his gear and film knowledge to other artists to help build and grow experiences. Jordan took on many different responsibilities including directing, writing, storyboarding, editing, music composing, acting, camera operating, booming and so on. A week after graduating college Jordan moved to Toronto. There he became a background performer on many productions in Toronto and ran his own videography business. Jordan did a lot of filming, editing and boom operating jobs for various companies and productions. After a little over a year of running the videography business Jordan had the opportunity to grow by doing a wedding gig but turned down the offer to focus on his own work. This is when he started focusing more heavily on his cartoon, Freak City. Once the storyboards were completed it was time for the next step and Jordan took one more stab at this "animation." This time though he bought himself a touchscreen Wacom Cintiq tablet. Once comfortable with the tablet he was confident enough to pursue in making his cartoon Freak City. In Jordan's spare time he enjoys jamming with "The Band", a title given to them by their neighbours, along with his guitar collecting problem in the lovely city of Toronto. He''s still very hard at work creating and planning more episodes for Freak City as well as new shows to go with his company, New Wave Frames Productions.
