Horatio Tihanyi

Horatio Tihanyi was born in 1968 Brooklyn, NY. Both his parents are immigrant from Hungary. His father (Janos) escaped communist persecution during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Upon arriving to the USA in 1957, Janos joined the American Army to fight the communist's. His mother (Ilona) came to the USA in1965. The two were married in 1966. Horatio grew up in NY and studied Architecture at the New York Institute of Tech. He worked in the building trades from the mid 80's to 2007. He moved to South Florida for health reasons. He has always had a great love of film production and acting. Upon moving to Florida he studied acting at the Acting School of South Florida. Horatio has several movie and TV show credits including Burn Notice, The Truth is Stranger then Florida, Selling Yachts, Caught Red Handed Strom Cell, Ned Venture and Cupcake. Horatio has never formally studied film production on any level. One day he decided to write a short about what drug addiction can do to a person. He himself battled these demons for many years until he cleaned himself up. He wanted to show the world what drug addiction can do to a family and more so what actually goes through a drug addicts mind. He wrote short called American Dream. This is the story of how drugs destroyed a typical American family. This short has been entered into several festivals. The short was accepted into The Chicago Indie Film Festival and a Finalist in the Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift. Horatio also wrote a full feature called Storm Cell which stars him and his dear friend Lawrence Taylor (NY Giants, HOFer Linebacker). The story is about 7 men in a county jail holding cell. They are hoarded together and put into this holding cell to ride a out a massive Cat. 5 hurricane. The movie was shot on location at an actual jail in South Florida. The movie is in post with no set date for a release. Horatio is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast, skydiver and bodybuilder.
