Boualem Hassaine was born in Algeria in North Africa, but spent much of his childhood traveling internationally with his family. He began acting professionally at age ten, and found that his exposure to different cultures enriched his craft. As an actor, his resume includes parts in films such as American Sniper, The Accountant, and Ride Along 2, along with numerous stints on TV shows, including The Catch, NCIS, and Shooter. In 2014, Hassaine applied his extensive experience as a performer to the field of production. He produced the short film True Love, which received awards at the Accolade Competition and at the Best Shorts Competition, and was nominated for a SOFIE at The Short Film Awards. Since 2014, he has produced three other films. In 2015, Hassaine received an independent Global Humanitarian Award for his film work. Hassaine studied international business at Western International University, and speaks five languages. When not acting or producing, he loves playing soccer, skydiving, and traveling. He is passionate about learning about new cultures, in addition to delving into his own Algerian Berber roots. As one of few Algerian American actors, Hassaine aims to bring awareness and visibility to the potential of North African filmmaking.
