Steve is an German-American actor, musician, and media producer. He was born to his German mother and American father, Evelyn and William, who initially married and lived in Germany before moving to the United States a few years before he was born. In his teens, Steve began performing as a post-Civil War soldier who was stationed at Fort Ontario in his hometown of Oswego, NY. For two Summers, his role encompassed daily rifle-musket firing and drill exercises, as well as parade and ceremony appearances. Soon after, in 1992, Steve took to the stage as the frontman and composer of the performance art band 99¢ Special. For four years, his band performed in numerous cities and states gaining a following and label interest, until they split in 1996. Eventually, he began composing again in 2005 under the name One Cent Left, as well as performing with the cyber/steampunk band Psyche Corporation in the late 2000s. He also appeared and performed within a 100-person choir along side 99¢ Special bandmate Darren Blunt on the Einstürzende Neubauten DVD Palast der Republik (2006). He also formed H.O.W.D.Y. Media in 2000, a successful multimedia production company, focusing mainly on web production, as well as graphic design, A/V, and music production. In 2003, he extended his video production skills by attended school for single camera video production. Being a lifelong performer, it took until 2011 for Steve to fulfill one of his long standing desires - to get more in to acting. Looking at both stage and film, he walked on to his first set as background for the independent film Hick (2011), starring Chloë Grace Moretz. Soon after, due to a natural likeness to Tom Mison, he was selected to portray Ichabod Crane's body double in several episodes of FOX's Sleepy Hollow (2013). He has since continued to do body double and stand-in work, as well as appear in his first stage roll in the independent play 'Inherit the Stars' by Ray Wagner. Since he has been honing his skills and appearing in other productions.
