Mike McNeese is a Director of Photography, Producer, Director, and Editor in the Columbus, Ohio, area. As the proprietor of (((echo productions, Mike has produced hundreds of media projects. Mike is a graduate of Miami University in 2001, where he double-majored in Film Studies and Mass Communication with a focus in Video Production. (((echo productions was founded in 2006 with the release of Mike's first short film, "Metal Storm," which received several accolades and awards from at least four film festivals. "Thirty" was produced in 2007 as an X-Files fan film, where Mike served as Writer, Producer, Director, and Actor. In the summer of 2009 Mike served as Director of Photography for the indie feature "6 Days" as well as the "Two Doors Down" web series. Mike was also Gaffer in the indie short thriller "Refractory." In 2009 Mike directed the short film "Imagine This" as part of the 48 Hour Film Project in Columbus, Ohio. "Imagine This" went on to receive awards for Best Director, Best Character, Best Actress, Screenwriting, Best Editing, Audience Favorite as well as Best Picture. After being invited to participate in the 48 Hour Film Project's International Challenge the (((echo productions team produced a thriller entitled "Threshold." (((echo's entry in the 2010 Columbus 48, "Night Prey," was awarded Best Choreography. In 2011, Mike joined forces with Columbus production company Post House where he served as Producer and DP for "Inevitable," which was awarded for Best Actress, Best Directing, Audience Favorite as well as Best Picture Runner-up at the Columbus 48. For the 48 of 2012 Mike directed, shot and edited the silent thriller "Deafening," which was selected for the Columbus 48 Best Of Screening, and awarded Best Sound Design. Most recently Mike served as Executive Producer and Director of Photography for "Help Wanted," a short comedy created for the 2013 Columbus 48 which received Runner-Up awards for Best Acting and Audience Favorite. As the Video Production Manager for ECOT (the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow), Mike led and in-house production crew and served as Director and Director of Photography for a series of four broadcast commercials. At ECOT Mike has directed more than 100 short-form documentaries. Since (((echo's inception Mike has produced dozens of client projects as well as serving as the Technical Director of the Columbus Blue Jackets in-arena show. Mike lives in the Columbus, Ohio, area with his wife, two children (with another on the way), and their Chocolate Lab Cade.
