Alok Sharma

Alok Sharma has worked across media with experience in television, animation, feature films, radio, online content and comics. He is currently associated with Graphic India as Vice President - Animation. He is directing Graphic India's flagship show - Astra Force starring Mr.Amitabh Bachchan. Before taking up this responsibility he has worked as an independent creative consultant for fiction and non-fiction content with India's leading Film Production Houses, TV Channels, Animation Studios and Comic Publishers like - Yash Raj Films, Rajshree Films, Bolt (Balaji Productions), Red Chillies Idiot Box, The Epic Channel, The Walt Disney Company (India), Turner Broadcasting System (Cartoon Network & Pogo), Sony TV, Zee TV, UTV, Zoom (Times Group), Life OK, 9XM, NDTV, Maximum Media and Raj Comics. In the recent past, he's worked with Reliance's BIG Animation as an Asst. Director (Pre-production) where he got the opportunity to develop and script animated films and TV series. Alok began his career with Gotham Comics as a comic book artist, in 2004. Later, he was associated as a producer with some of the leading Indian radio stations like Radio City 91.1FM and Radio One 94.3. He's also been associated with TV wing of The Walt Disney Co. (India) where he worked as a creative producer. Passionate to a fault about comics, he's working on his dream project, the documentary 'Chitrakatha: Indian Comics Beyond Balloons and Panels' - which attempts to cover the history and evolution of sequential art in India. As an independent writer/content developer he is also dabbling in Film Writing and developing IPs for TV and Cinema.
