In a small city of Puglia, southern Italy, in Terlizzi (BA), On August 20, 1987, Simona Ilaria di Michele was born into this world. She grew up in Foggia, where she studied and graduated in the Scientific Liceum A.Volta. Simona began to travel alone to expand her horizons from an early age. In 2004 she studied at the California State University, Long Beach. In the summer of 2005 di Michele then went on to study Business English at the University of Miami. Simona earned a diploma in acting at Officina Teatrale in Foggia. Thus she was actress, for several years in small theater companies. In the meantime, she often competed as an athlete, pole vaulter, obtaining excellent results at regional and national levels. The athletic and theater become incisors in Simona's determined personality. Simona has two large and somewhat contrasting dreams. The first was to become an Air Force pilot, the second was to become a cinema Director and Producer. However the first is shattered for a few reasons. Although having been in the Italian Military Air Force, she decided to follow her passion for the media becoming stronger every day. In 2006 she moved to Milan with her strong belief that to succeed in the world of cinema. Simona is a young Director / Producer / Screenwriter. Graduated in Media Design & New Media Art in Italy (Milan), with a degree in Filmmaking in Los Angeles, this included the final screening in Warner Bros studios. She got also a master's degree in Graphic design and advertising, again in Italy. She works with several movie, television and advertising studios, in Italy and also abroad. Simona has collaborated with Bonsaininja Studio, Visionaire Media (USA) Batoota Films (Lebanon), Indiana Production, where she directed several commercials, including Armani Profumes. In 2006 he made his debut as an assistant producer for the movie Bobby directed by Emilio Estevez. (The film recounts the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy). Here Simona has seen her work alongside actors of the caliber of Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone and Lindsay Lohan. In 2009 she directed / produced / written the short film of social gender "(In) visibility" in which the protagonists, Adriano De Pasquale, Tiziana Piergianni and Silvia Hlapse, tell a story that everyone can relate to. The story of a love triangle that leaves everyone breathless. In 2010, working alongside Andrea Pellizzari for the project "Mr Brown for Haiti" (with the aim of collecting funds for the Fondazione Francesca Rava - NPH Italy Onlus for the construction of a new house for the reception of unaccompanied children following the earthquake) Simona worked with the graphics of the music video "Mr. Brown in Back in Town" (produced by Universal Music Italy), directing the remix of Dino Lenny and various services for the Italian national television. Simona I.d.M. is known for her artistic style in her short films of social gender, which aim to tell and to ask questions where the viewers will have to give an answer. The last she wrote and directed is "UnderSense," the journey of a woman's mind, in order to touch closely the various social problems of a woman determined and free, with many problems to love.
