Peter Anthony is a Multi Award-Winding Director and Screenwriter. Graduating from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1999) with a bachelor's degree in architecture from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1996), Anthony first started his professional work within architecture, art direction and graphic design. After graduation, Anthony worked as an architect and art director with several Award-Winning assignments. Later, Anthony, also a skilled painter, was drawn to direction and the art of storytelling. Getting more and more involved in theater, documentary filmmaking and feature short films, Anthony has worked both as a Director, Screenwriter and Producer. In 2001, he used his talents as a set designer on Denmark's Radio's interactive flagship program, ROFL, which won an Emmy. Anthony now has more than 15 years of experience working on various national and international film productions. He also produced the music video for Danish rapper LOC, which was a Grammy® nominee for Best Music Video. In addition, Anthony has worked on short films as a director or as a producer: Fat Boy and Candela, which had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. He worked as a director on the international feature-length films Utzon Returns and War & Love. The Man Who Saved the World iwas Anthony's international debut as a feature-length film director. In the hybrid drama, mixing nonfiction with narrative fiction, telling the epic Cold War thriller of Stanislav Petrov that will send shivers down your spine, Anthony has been fortunate to be able to draw on his diverse skills within the different aspects of the arts. In addition to serving as the film's director, Anthony also contributed as a scriptwriter, co-editor, set design consultant and graphic designer. Anthony's inspiration emanated from a fascination with Petrov's unique story, driving Anthony to create a spectacular and epic piece about a crucial time of history. The Man Who Saved the World has already been selected for several film festivals, including: HotDocs Toronto Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (nominated for the Nordic:Dox Award for Best Feature Documentary and the Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary) Woodstock Film Festival (nominated for Best Narrative Feature, and winner of both Honorable Mention: Audience Award Winner for Best Narrative Feature and Honorable Mention: James Lyons Award for Best Editing of a Narrative Feature) Starz Denver Film Festival (nominated for Best Narrative Feature: Audience Award) Now he just finished Nordic Narcos.
