Aya Miyama is a former Japanese professional football player. During her career Miyama made 162 appearances for the Japanese national team between 2003 and 2016. She scored 38 times for her country, perhaps most notably the first equalizer against the U.S in the 2011 World Cup Final. Alongside winning the World Cup, her other successes with the national side were winning the AFC Women's Asian Cup in 2014 and the 2010 Asian Games Gold Medal. Aya also gained second place in both the 2012 Olympics and in the 2015 World Cup.
