Sumerlyn Haynes is an American born actress. Her passion for the performing arts began at an early age. She was a lead vocalist in the church children's choir, and studied classical ballet for 4 years at the Music Settlement in Cleveland, Ohio. As a teenager, Sumerlyn performed in a multitude of plays including "The Butterfly That Stamped", "Twelve Angry Jurors", and "Our Country's Good". She attended acting classes in college and continued to perform in theater. It wasn't until several years later that she was approached by her good friend, Robert Davis, author and director, to do a film adaptation of his book series "The Butchers". The project ignited her love for film. She began pursuing roles in independent films and she has been booking roles in film ever since. She has played lead roles in several independent films including Young Harvest, The Butchers, The Audition, Sam vs. Many, and Contract: Redemption.
